The Last Flight of Concord

In 2003 Concord made it's historic final flight as a passenger air craft bringing to an end the age of supersonic passenger flight. Thousands turned up at heathrow airport to see the last three concord land and being as I live across the road I went out to what all the fuss was about.

A Platform had been built for the TV and thoes who had bought tickets but many were using anything they could find to get a vantage point. I found myself sitting on a high somewhat creaking fence next to a french girl who's grandfather had worked on building of the first Concorde. She was in London studying and wanted to see it once before it stopped flying. Others made thier own vantage points.

Then it came

and the world was suddenly a much bigger place again.
